If you are planning to board your pet at any time, always make sure that you contact the boarding facility and find out what vaccinations and tests are required ahead of the boarding stay. 

Vaccinations such as bordetella and canine influenza are generally only administered to dogs who will be boarding or grooming or have a heightened risk of exposure to many other dogs.  For the best protection, you will want your pet to be fully vaccinated at least one week prior to boarding, ideally longer.
